Thanks for your interest in either stocking your book with us or hosting an in-store event here at Spellbound Bookstore! Below is information regarding how we stock books, local author programs, and options for Author Events at our store.
Author Events
Meet & Greets | This is a great option for Authors who want to meet new readers! Meet & Greets are ideal for authors who like to engage potential customers and are eager to hand-sell their books in person, by setting up their tables to catch customers' eye, approaching customers, asking leading questions, etc. We schedule Meet & Greets on Saturdays and Sundays, which are the days when our store gets the most foot traffic, to increase your chances of selling as many books as possible. Q&A + Book Signing Events | We typically reach out to Authors for events in-store, according to what our customer base likes to read and emerging trends. These events are hosted and managed by us and are typically planned months in advance. If you'd like to be considered for a future Author Event with us, please email us.
Pre-Order Campaigns
We love being a part of indie bookstore pre-order campaigns! We like to feature titles that have an indie-exclusive item as part of the pre-order. We prefer scheduling pre-orders at least 2 months in advance. If you'd like to do a pre-order campaign with us, please email us and we can discuss details!
Stocking Books With Us
Self-Published / Small Press Authors (not in Florida): If a book sounds like it would be a great fit for us and our customers, we typically purchase a few copies for the store. Your book must be available on Ingram at the industry discount (40% discount) and priced comparable to other titles of the genre. Due to time constraints, we are not able to accommodate direct purchasing with indie authors with few exceptions. If you would like us to stock your book, please email us the ISBN along with a short summary of your book, genre, release date, and the publisher (if you've already done this, please disregard).
Self-Published Local Authors: We have a Local Author Book Consignment Program, which is an arrangement between independently and/or self-published Florida authors and Spellbound Bookstore to sell titles on our Local Authors Shelf for a specific period. We accept applications on an on-going basis. All of the details for the program and the application can be found here.
